Volunteer
Steward Training Programme for Volunteers at Foyle Maritime
Volunteer Expression of Interest
Are you aged 17-24? Would you like to increase your
earning potential with a recognised stewarding
qualification you’ll achieve as you volunteer at the Foyle
Maritime Festival 2022?
Exciting opportunities await you this July in the city!
We are looking for enthusiastic young people to volunteer at the Foyle Maritime Festival this July and help us create an enjoyable, safe and friendly festival for visitors and international guests.
Applicants will not only gain valuable customer service and work experience, they will also have the opportunity to gain a NVQ L2 Stewarding qualification, fully funded
through the Council’s Skills Department. This stewarding qualification is recognised
across the whole of NI and the UK.
Working as a volunteer gives you the opportunity not only to meet new people and be part of an exciting event. You also learn new skills, build your CV and give back to your community whilst qualifying as an Event Steward.
Having an Event Steward qualification will give you earning power and the opportunity to apply and work at many large scale events and concerts throughout NI and UK.
A daily food voucher will be provided for each volunteer. Participants in the
programme are required to volunteer for a minimum of 25 hours during the week of
the event in order to achieve the qualification.
If you think you have what it takes, then we would love to hear from you!
